How to make a Home Insurance claim

When you call
You might like to have the following information handy to help speed up the process of lodging your claim:
- Your policy number if you have it
- The address of the insured property where the incident occurred
- The incident report number if the police were involved
In case of an emergency:
- Call us first on 131 123, right after you have called the emergency services
- We will lodge your claim
- We will find a suitable tradesperson to perform emergency repairs
- If your house is unlivable, we organise temporary accommodation

You’ve called the emergency services if needed and the police if theft was involved, but what next? It’s a stressful time and you need help. That’s where we come in. We’ve made the claims process simple and hassle-free.
Call us first on 131 123. We ask you some questions then we provide you with a claim number and your no claim bonus and excess details.
If you have damage to your home we will organise one of our preferred tradespeople to contact you.
If your house is unlivable, we can organise temporary accommodation.
We arrange the replacement of your stolen, damaged or destroyed property with an equivalent item where possible.
As proof of ownership, you may need to provide items such as receipts, valuations or photos of stolen items.
There may be an excess payable on claims you make. The excess you will have to pay is on your current Certificate of Insurance.
