We sponsor the Queensland Fire & Rescue Service's highly regarded Safehome initiative.
Through the Safehome initiative, firefighters visit interested households to provide free advice about home fire safety issues. These include smoke alarm installation, evacuation planning, electrical safety, security issues, storage of hazardous substances and how to prevent burns and scalds.
Firefighters help to identify fire safety issues in the home and provide advice on how to resolve them. Householders also receive a free fire safety checklist for future reference.
Did you know?
- Almost 100% of Safehome clients felt the visits exceeded or met their expectations*.
- The Safehome program is a free service. All homes have different requirements but a visit should take no longer than 45 minutes.
